Fox got their title right. Unfortunately, the cleverness and detriment that the reality of their cleverness will one day become, is a sad reality that will echo throughout eternity. From the beginning, Satan or Lucifer the Serpent of old has been making disobedience to God and hell on earth look and sound fun, attractive and promising. This began with the time he told Adam and Eve that God was holding out on them. (Genesis 3)

The fact of the matter is, he’s still deceiving nations and unfortunately many of those who will watch the airing of “Lucifer.” I’m sure the show will speak nothing of the words that Jesus spoke when He described Hell as a place where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth throughout all eternity. (Luke 13:28) Additionally, the show may not deal with the fact there is no escape route or return.

Many think that only murderers, rapists or those who commit horrendous crimes go to Hell. Jesus taught that only saved people are void of this eternal destination. Moreover, school teachers, nurses, policemen, firefighters and all who can help save the physical man or enrich lives, can all be headed to Hell apart from a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior. The good news is that God so loved all of us, that He gave his One and only Son to die on the cross for our sins. He declares that if we will turn from our moments in life that we choose to disobey God, ask Him to forgive our sins by placing our total trust in His great love, believe in His life, death and resurrection from the grave, we can spend eternity in Hell’s alternative. This alternative is the wonderful place called Heaven. The place that there will be no more pain, sorrow or tears.

Hell is as real as the air we are now breathing. Do not be deceived by the temporary pleasures of this world in it’s many forms. Believe in Jesus’ words when He said, “Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes Him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.” (John 5:24) Don’t be misled to think that you are a good person undeserving of Hell. The Bible says that we all have sinned, and therefore deserve Hell. (Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23) There is no amount of good works that we could ever attempt to erase the punishment we deserve. Jesus has accomplished and paid that price for us. The only question left to ask, is will you accept His great love for you. If you desire to make heaven your home you can pray this prayer.

Jesus, I know I have sinned against you. I believe that You died on the cross for my sins and rose again on the third day. I turn from my sins and ask you to be the Lord and Master of my life. Come into my heart and lead me in the paths of righteousness for your Name’s sake as I turn from my sin and turn to faith in you .
In Jesus Name I pray, amen.
